About Us

Nelson's Apiary L.L.C. is a family owned business located in the Southeastern part of Indiana.  We are here to help hobby and future beekeepers in the tri-state area of Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.

We believe beekeeping is wonderful activity for the whole family, young and old.  As a family we have studied and continue to be amazed at how amazing God has made this very important and interesting creature.  Not only does beekeeping offer an endless opportunity for education and benefit to our food supply, but you can you actually get a return on your investment with the hobby!

We are a homeschooling family of five little boys and one itty bitty little girl.  The older boys are very involved with the business, whether helping in the shop building frames and boxes, or checking the bees in the bee yard.  The younger ones try to help when they can, but the Head Beekeeper (Daddy) usually gets a face full of smoke when they do, the life of a beekeeper.
